Newegg Credit Card question.

I was just recently approved for a Newegg Credit Card.   Is the card good or bad? Anything I should watch out for?  Any time limit for not using it before they close it?

I'm planning only to use in emergencies if my computer should fail for example.

Newegg Card $1200| Amazon Card $1000| Walmart Card $1100| Discover IT Card $1500 Current Fico score is 672 currently Gardening for the time being. Been a member of the Garden since 11-21-17 Planning to stay until Mid-2019.

Re: Newegg Credit Card question.

Does anyone know how long a Newegg card stay inactive before the creditor closes it?

It's backed by Synchrony, so you need to use it at least once every 12 months or they will CLD it, then close it.

Didn't even know Newegg had a branded credit card. What are it's perks and benefits?

http://promotions.newegg.com/nepro/16-6891/index.html

It's a pretty standard Synchrony store card with 6/12 mo no interest depending on order size and longer offers for some items. You should be fine going 6-12 months with no activity (activity could be a payment, not just a charge). As for things to watch out for, as with all zero interest promos watch out for the promo expiration dates and make sure you pay them off prior to the ending date! The card has a 29.99% APR and that is retroactive. If you buy something for $1300 and pay $100 a month on a 12-month promo, you would be hit with $390 in back-interest on the $100 balance you had left on the 13th month. Pay it off by the 12th month and you really do get no interest. Fortunately Synchrony makes this VERY clear!

Re: Newegg Credit Card question.

I got the newegg card about 2 months ago and I hate it. Every single time I tried to make a purchase on newegg the payment is declined and they still charge the amount to the card. Then I have to call newegg and Syncrony Bank and have them fix and approve my purchase but when they fix it the do not restore my full amount of credit. I decided to pay it off quick and never use it again.
