Next step?

Thought I would ask this board since most are probably a bit better at this game than I. First Apps since BK 5/2011... Had ZERO Revolving cards, I did get a First Premier (Approved unsecured $300), Discover (Approved unsecured $300), Capitol one(Approved unsecured 1k) $1600 new credit in last few days (3 out of 4 apps Barclays no) so revolving history will be getting better..    Want a rewards card some day and 700+ score to start. House in Three yrs.

Questions:

When should I App again?

When should I look at upping the limits?

How hard is it to get a Amex card and what agency do they pull from?

Re: Next step?

Too early to app since BK. You already have the BK friendly cards. AMEX will not give you a card until you BK is off your record in 2021. Don't waste an inquiry

Re: Next step?

Im mildly surprised you even got a Discover. Id try a PC on the CapOne card to the cash rewards card. Other than that, just wait and be patient.

Re: Next step?

I would cancel that First Premier immediately.
Grats on the Discover and Capitol One.

Usual complaint is the horrible fees.  Especially the second year (due to CARD act protections)

Re: Next step?

If it's the same card, it's charging:

Processing Fee  $95 (one time)

Annual Fee   $75.00 for first year
     After that, $45.00 annually.

Monthly fee  None for first year (introductory)
After that, $75.00 annually ($6.25 per month).

+ a 36% APR.

When people here (cleverly) use phrases such as "Crap One" they are referring to things like extreme reluctance to give credit limit increases etc.  First Premier gets much more negativity from its huge cost.  It even says on the site that the initial limit of $300 is reduced to $225 because of the fees.

Re: Next step?

Yep MO... well I paid fees so I will ride it for a year...  Any recommendations next APP move or CLI moves going forward? Thanks for the input..
