I got this card November last year, originally thay gave me $8,700 CL, I opened it as a result of a 18 months 0% BT offer I received in the mail, which I took advantage of.
Well, yesterday while checking one of my reports, I realized it showed CL $15,200! Went to their website to confirm, and yes! was correct. So thanks CITI for a nice 1-year anniversary surprise. Now this becomes my highest limit card, followed by the Blue Cash with $8,300 (which BTW, it's coming to th 1-year mark too, le't see if they follow suit...)
Just wanted to share for the record...
Oh wow that is a GREAT CLI !!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Very nice !!
Thanks guys, forgot to mention, it's a Diamond Preferred card if it matters.
Congrats! Citi is really generous about CL![]()

I can't remember for sure, but I thought I read that Amex auto CLIs are rare. You're eligible to ask them though and you can request up to 3x your limit. Should be a soft pull.

Yeah, I don't know about the auto CLI being rare, but the "Increase your credit limit" link has been there for several months. I'll wait to see what they do and if I don't get the auto increase I'll go ahead and request one.
Blue Cash is my daily card, so they can't complain about usage!
Well...I went ahead and gave the "Increase your Credit Limit" link a try....it took me to another page where they ask your income and what would you like your "new" limit to be, I requested $15,000, then it took like 45 seconds thinking about it, when it came back, it said that they can't give me that but they counter offered to increase it to $9600....I took it. Not what I was expectng but hey, an increase is an increase. That's a $7800 combined increase in two cards and a total CL's among all my cards it's $44,400 now..not too shaby!
Thanks for giving me the itch to request it Walt_k...
Congratulations, that's one heck of a nice Auto CLI from Citi, I'm surprised by AmEx not being more generous.
But a 7800 combined CLI on both cards is excellent!!
Thanks Mustang,
I would've liked it to be at least $10k ya know? it sounds more mature than $9600
....but that's ok...
