I reAd somewhere. 2015 for sure. I'm surprised. As I have it in both amex cards.
It seems like they are now offering them in the US (for Venture and Venture One cards) so did you get one? I will receive mine in 10 days or so.

Google Images has them because CapitalOne issues credit cards in every country on earth so they have EMVS, just not adopted here yet.
From their website:

I love Good news! Capital One chip cards will be Chip and Signature cards, so there’s no additional PIN to remember.
I would have preferred the other way, just like Cap One in the UK, but obviously not.

And QuickSilver cards apparently B/C I just called the 1-800# on back of my card, and was told a new card has been sent out to me and should receive within next 1-2 weeks.
L-TWT, you called and asked for a EMV card specifically and they said no problem and sent one out?! This just seems nuts since I spoke with them a few nights ago and got brushed off.

No, after reviewing this thread again and going to the Capital One website today and seeing the Venture card showing now with EMV chip + redesign. I called the 1-800# on back of my card to find if EMV chip are currently being offered, and the Rep replied yes and no . He stated EMV chip are not currently being offered by request only automatically to certain cards. So I inquired if I currently had that "certain card? He placed me on hold and stated a new card with chip has been sent out to you, and that I should receive card in 1-2 weeks! So I shall see....
@L-TWT Thanks for the update. Let us know when you receive your card :-)
I asked on capital one chat if I could request for cards with EMV chips, i got long answer basically saying no, ya know the whole "end of 2015" blah blah blah, well if it doesn't arrive by feb, I guess i'll stick with using diners overseas.
