Nordstrom VISA Upgrade question

Hello all! 

My Nordstrom store card was recetnly upped automatically to 7.6K. I called Nordstrom last night and asked if there were any upgrades available to the VISA card. The nice rep told me yes I qualify for the VISA signature and he said I'd get the new card in 2-3 weeks and it will have a new #, however my store card will still work in the meantime. 

My question is, will the new VISA card # once it reports retain the same age? My Nordstrom card has been opened for 3 years now.

Thats nice to hear that theyre still doing upgrades, I thought TD wasn't doing that anymore. Wonder if it's possible to request an upgrade on the Target card.

When TD Bank upgraded my Target store card to the MasterCard, the opened and closed dates stayed the same. I am not sure whether they do so with their Nordstrom portfolio.

OP, yes the Visa (upgraded) product will retain the same age/history.

OP, Do you have any additional data points? What was your initial limit? How long have you had the card? Do you pif every month? Do you charge often (usage)? Credit score ?

I want to have a better idea what I may need to be approved for the upgrade. Thank you.
