My overall utilization dropped from 7 to 3%. IT helps that I get paid 3 times in December. I pay ahead then don't get paid again until Jan. 15th, but it works.

We're always looking at tv's at Sam's Club, but Dh really wants the 90" or 80". He may settle for the 70" so we're waiting for a really good deal, too.
End of year utilization, by statement reporting:
December 2013 - $1585.76 / 51.15%
December 2014 - $2064.03 / 9.58%
By actual, end of year balance:
December 2013 - $2033.28 / 65.59%
December 2014 (as of the 28th) - $1991.41 / 9.24%
Why yes... I did just finish my end of year spreadsheet closeout. ![]()

Be careful and diligent on shopping for the HDTV's. I originally went for a Hitachi big screen in November IN STORE and ended up taking it back the very next day. It was horrible. No amount of fine tuning helped. On the plus side, it was IMO a gamble ordering the JVC ONLINE but turned out way much better then expected. Perfect clarity and color fresh out of the box! It's claim to fame is the inbuilt sound system and it's lived up to that. No sound bar needed and that's rare with HDTV's.
Ugh...My util went from 3% to about 12%. Had a death in the family so last minute travel and a few hiccups along the way really put a damper on my utilization. But I reworked my budget and picked up a few extra shifts at work so I should have it paid down by April without having to dip into my savings. Most of the charges are on cards that still have 0% apr so I'm really focused on paying it all down before I start getting charged interest. ![]()
0%. I put back money every month for Christmas (and really any expense that needs to be accrued for) and we stick pretty good to the budget. I hated the years where we didn't budget and I ended up eating most of my January paycheck or even going into CC debt for stuff for people I didn't really care about lol.
@alinoapa wrote:Now that Christmas is over, how much did your utilization increase, and for some decrease
Mine decreased from 23% to 15%... Because after gardening for 2014 I added 4 new accounts plus 2 CLIs on an app spree I went on from the 24th-26th.
i only spent about $300 on Christmas... I'm single. ![]()
We bought all of our Xmas gifts while traveling overseas and that was PIF, so our utilization has not changed. I did buy some candles for my brother in law's new lady, but that was all of $12 (yay, Bath and Bodyworks deals).
Honestly, considering all these goody two shoes, Donna Reed credit answers I would have to applaud the first person who comes forward and says : "yeah, credit cards are maxed, waiting on my taxes." ![]()
