Number to REDUCE credit line with synchrony

Hey all , so I am going through all my sync backed cards and decided to reduce some available credit on some but can’t seem to find the number to do so. Like my Qvc card. I called the number on the back of the card and the gal told me she could do credit limit increases but not decreases, and acted liked she had never even heard of decreasing your available credit. 🤗 Any info would be appreciated!

Hmmm.  No idea.  You might try chat.

Fico 8 8/01/25: EX 802, EQ 804, TU 800.
Fico 9: EX 812 04/15/25, EQ 804 04/08/25, TU 792 02/15/25.

That's strange. You would think a bank would love to honor voluntary CLDs if it means mitigating risk.

Try the online chat. If that falls through, consider calling the Executive Office.

It depends on how you look at it. Most people I know that have cut their limits, did it to keep from overspending, which is smart, because you can't overspend if It isn't available to you.  It could be taken by the banks as a sign that something happened financially and the person is trying to put restrictions in place because they can no longer afford the current limits or can't control their spending. Chase, for example, caps your limits at 50% of your income to keep you from overextending yourself with them. If all of a sudden you cut your limits, is it because 50% of your income is now too much for you to handle?

+1 With Sync i dont want to rock the boat by clding myself. It might create a chainreaction. I just live with my current limits and dont seek more cli. Its a crazy time right now and offering yo lower your limits just allows more account scrutiny if you will.

As mentioned upthread, try the chat feature or call back again. If that fails, try Credit Solutions. They can be lowered by request, if need be.
