I've about $40.12 in my Cap One QS1 card as reward dollars. Went through some options and see that I can get a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card in the blocks of $25. Wanted to get one gift card and donate the rest $15 to charity...
Anyone with interesting stories on how you used the reward points / dollars?
I don't suppose it's all that interesting, but I pretty much always take statement credits with my rewards points. The only exception is my Discover card. I usually use the cashback on it to pay for stuff on Amazon since they make it so easy and it's fun getting my Amazon purchase for free (or heavily discounted).
I prefer to just take cash or statement credit. Then I take the money I would have otherwise used to pay the bill and spend it on anything.
It's usually on travel.

Do you convert the points/cash to miles or get a travel voucher?
Usually use it for sttatement credit

Depends if they'll transfer, or If I find a rate more favorable paying "cash"

I love to travel. Just spent my PRG bonus (50k) on two round trip Delta tickets to San Francisco next month. Have 20K left, and am hoarding them. Next goal is another 50K MR or 120k AAdvantage (halfway there) for two round trips to Europe. I accumulate then spend, always on air travel. Never even use my cash back cards anymore, except for my autopay bills every month, which only nets me $7/mo.
Depending where you live (If an AA Hub), BA Avios is better deal for MR than Skypesos.
