OMG...Approved AMEX DeltaSkyMiles...but I have a question...

Hi all,
I just checked the AMEX website and I was approved for a DeltaSkyMiles card.  I called AMEX, the rep said "welcome back to AMex, sir".  I was like huh??  She said you were a member with us back in 1990, with a green card.  I asked her if my new card would say "MEMBER SINCE 1990" she said yes.  My question for you is will my credit history on my CR's reflect that I've had an Amex since 1990?  That original green card I got in 1990, I carried till 2000.  I really abused that card!  I was young and dumb.  I put my honeymoon on my "sign & travel" acct. in 1998, took 2 yrs to pay it back and AMEX game me the heeve-ho.  I had some late payments throughout my history with AMEX, so I guess they got tired of me, CLOSED at CREDIT GRANTORS request.  Once I was "paid in full and they gave my acct. the "ax" they stopped reporting lates on my CR's and just put "paid as agreed" but wouldn't give me another card until now.  So it's been 7 yrs no amex and now this new card is on it's way, with a $4600 CL, she said I can apply for a CLI in 30 days.

hmmm, I read the link.  Boy, do I hope that happens for me, HELL yea!  I just looked at my August CR's Transunion and Experian both still report that 1990 amex card, last activity was in 1999 on TU and 2001 on EX.  Equifax doesn't report the amex at all.  Both report closed at credit grantors request.  How great it would be if the amex's on my cr's just started reporting again and I got the SW alert saying, recent activity on an account that has been dormant 7 yrs.

This is better that 100,000 miles.

The more I read into this AMEX may very well be doing this on purpose.
