Hi,
im new to this whole credit thing, and need some help, right now i have 3 credit cards only one of which im the primary account holder
Slate - AU 2700 CL, Amazon Visa - AU 500 CL, CapOne Secured 201 CL... I Have two medical collections from when I got into an accident a year ago and I'm trying to negotiate with the hospital instead of the collectors, I have 13 inquiries from the past year, in May, 4 will pass the year mark and 4 are utilities like comcast since im becoming independent and i recently did the discover it which was declined but got offered the secured version which im probably gonna take. I really want another card thar i would be the primary user and also i would like to know how to update my address with the bureau since they all have my old one, which cards do i have the best odds of getting approved for. Aaoa - 1.1 years, utilization 32%, CK FAKO: 616, SW FICO: 608, CapOne credit tracker: 634
Did you check for preapproval on any of the big credit card companies? also you can try the card match too.
Please take the secured Discover IT offer, it's one of the best things I did. The CSR that I spoke with told me that it will graduate if I keep up the good payment history. Oh and I would app for the Walmart or Amazon store card. GE is very generous with scores in the 600. Good luck OP!
I would also suggest the Walmart card. You will probably start out with a small CL but they are very generous with CLIs. You also get a free FICO TU score every month after signing up for electronic billing. It will really help you build some history.
Try Barclays pre-approval, if they don't give you a pre-approval offer you might have a chance with a GE card. Your options will increase considerably once your Fico is over 650.
is GE inquiry shy or collection shy?

Update: I applied for the Walmart card and I got the 7-10 day message, what are the chances of getting an approval with the 7-10 day?
Try to recon it, I'm not sure how the Walmart card works (boooo, Target all the way ) but I am sure that there is some way to recon that decision.
