Old Navy upgrading question

I've had my Old Navy store card since 2010. It started off with a low $200.00 limit and since then the credit limit has jumped up to $2750.00 (Hit the love button on Monday) I figured by now they would have offered me  the upgrade to the Visa. I'm wondering if there is a ceiling for the store card limit? Should I call and inquire about the upgrade?

I can't get them to increase my limit. I've had the card for 6 months. Driving me nuts!

Re: Old Navy upgrading question

I think all but two of my CLI has been been because of the love button. I have stayed on top of that. It worked with Old Navy and JC where I also started off with a 200 limit and now it is at $4,800.00.

Re: Old Navy upgrading question

I would call and ask.

My  BR store opened in 3/2011 with a $300 limit. With a lot of heavy use (but never carrying a balance), it was automatically increased to $1000 after 3 months. In 10/2011, I received an email inviting me to apply for the BR Visa. I applied and they gave me a $3000 CL.

I sort of regret changing it to a BR Visa becuase they closed my BR store card automatically. The new account hurt my AAoA. On the brighter side, the only HP from GE was when I first opened the store card in 3/2011.

Current Cards: Banana Republic Visa ($5,300), Chase Freedom ($2,000), Discover It ($11,500), Amex Costco True Earnings ($5,000), Chase Slate ($2,500)

They probably have offered you the upgrade already. I was upgraded after like 61/2 months. I too started out with a low $200 limit. I have the Gap Card. They increased after the 4th statement to $650. I was checking my account on day and at the top where it says special offers(something similar??) I noticed the option to upgrade to the VISA version. I was like ok. I did it and was upgraded. My new CL is $2000.

Did you check you special offers menu in your account. No telling how long it had been sitting there waiting for me. I just noticed and upgraded right away!!! Check and let us know!!

Re: Old Navy upgrading question

I think once your CL gets around $2K they will definitely extend the Visa offer to you. My CL was $2K prior to being upgraded to the Visa. Once I clicked upgrade online, my CL was bumped up to $4K (not too shabby Old Navy). Check online like others have mentioned and call in if you really want it. I hope it goes well. And I just received my card within the last month and they are offering a $20 reward card if you use your ON Visa outside of ON within the first month.

Just urious if it is literally a pop up window as soon as you log in, or something specific I should look for?  I have had both Old Navy and Gap since Sept-Nov 2010 and no upgrade... yes I have been shown some love but not so generous and I have used the cards heavily and most of the time PIF.
