I don't know how common this is, but my vet, a very large hospital, classifies as a charity, and thus cards like Cash Plus give 5% off (if you select that category).  I assume other large hospitals/shelters might be the same.

Our local shelter is pretty small, I can still ask to see, I know they take CareCredit, just not sure of the specifics!

Our town only has 9,500 people haha, not too much going on out here!

So sorry that happened to you. My chihuahua was feeling sick a few weeks ago. He had some pain coming from his neck. It was either a slipped disc or some fluid buildup and I had even considered CareCredit just in case it was serious. Thankfully he's feeling much better with the treatment he got.

He's got a vet appointment tomorrow, they were closed Sunday, we noticed the symptoms Saturday after they had closed and they had no openings today, so wife is taking him tomorrow. He's still favoring it a bit, can put pressure on all parts of his leg and he shows no form of discomfort or pain.

The visit is $39 and the X-ray will be $140 so we'll see where it goes from there, hopefully it's just bruising that a simple pain killer will help suppress!

My good friend just had to put his papered GSD down at only 1.5 years old. It broke my heart when he told me, she was such a sweet, smart dog. She had severe lung and kidney diseases. Terrible. Can't even fathom the day we have to send Duncan to The Bridge
