One regular Platinum and one Morgan Stanley Platinum within 90 days

I finally got the regular Platinum in the early April...after visiting lounges a few times, my wife wants a priority pass for herself as well. It happens that I have a Morgan Stanley Access account. So, I applied the Morgan Stanley version in early May, cancelled immediately due to a duplicate app. I called in ...and the app was turned to manual review, eventually denied for "reaching the maximum cards within period". I checked many places and only see "no two credit cards in 90 days" rule...never no two platinum card in 90 days. Could someone please point me to the right direction: should I apply again and ask for another manual review, or simply wait until early July when the system will not produce "duplicate application denial"? Thank you so much!

I would just wait until July and apply again to save yourself some headache. From what I've seen with lenders that have these rules about X amount of cards in Y days, even manual review won't be able to overturn the decision.

I had the regular Platinum for about a year and then got the Charles Schwab.  I had both for about 6 months and just cancelled the regular Plat.  I got the SUB on both also.  They might deny one of your bonuses if you try to get them to close together.

I see a lot of value in the credits, but you could just add her (and two of your closest friends) as AU for $175.  I am relatively sure AUs get individual Priority Pass memberships/Centurian Access/Delta Club, TSA every four years, and hotel status.

I would just add her as an AU for $175 and she will get the same benefits.
Just my humble opinion.

For the benefit(s) youre interested in, yes the AU's get the same.. I have my wife, and two trusted friends for the $175.. Hope this helps.. Also Credit/citing to the Point's Guy for his information/reference.. Smiley Happy

1. Lounge Access  2. Global Entry/PreCheck Application Credit 3. Marriott and Hilton Gold Elite Status 4. Access to Fine Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Collection  5. Car Rental Elite Status

6. Other Benefits

Additional Platinum Card members also have access to the Cruise Privilage Program, International Airline Program, Premium Roadside Assistand Emergency Evac. Coverage while Traveling. Meanwhile, additional Platinum Card members and additional Gold Card members have access to Amex offers and the Auto. Purchase Program.

What’s NOT included?

This section is much simpler, as really the only perks that don’t extend to additional cardholders are the welcome bonus the up to $200 annual airline fee credit, Uber VIP status, the monthly Uber credits and the up to $100 Saks credit. However, even some of these aren’t totally black and white.

Once you (as the primary card holder) select an airline of choice, purchases by you andyour authorized users will count toward the $200 annual credit. However, each additional card holder doesn’t get his/her own $200 credit; this benefit is capped at a total of $200 per Platinum account. Likewise, purchases at Saks by additional card holders count toward the primary cardholder’s $100 annual Saks credit. But, authorized users don’t have access to the primary cardholder’s monthly Uber credits— so the primary card holder will need to use these credits without the help of additional card holders.
