Before this summer I would get offers from Chase and Discover at least once a week with random offers from Amex and others. My scores were in the mid 600s. Then I aggressively paid down my debt and added Amex and two Chase cards. Now my scores are all in the low 700s, yet lately I keep getting subprime offers in the mail. Yesterday I was preapproved for $1500 from Credit One and a couple weeks ago I was pre approved for $750 with a $175 AF (!!!!!) and 29.99% APR but can't remember the lender. Besides these I've gotten offers from random department stores and such. I'm in the garden for a while (except I'm debating on adding an Amex Platinum) so I don't care other than a slight ding to my ego. Why am I getting these junk offers now that I've improved my situation? Just seems strange.

It could be because you applied for new credit. I was in the same boat and i was getting offers for - Citi (every card possible) Chase - Freedom and Slate, Barclays, Discover
So when i applied for Freedom, Discover, CSP those offers did stop but im starting to get some again. So i think its because you applied for some new credit and those cards need to age a bit.
P.S no matter how good your score i think Credit One will always send those my score is 700 and i still get theirs offers along with those prime offers

I still get email offers from First Premier and my youngest CC is almost eight years old.
Who knows why.
I get offers from First Premier Bank
Join the club. I got an offer for Blaze the other day. And Fingerhut, but at least their offer went back up to $800. Barclay keeps trying to get me to apply for their Rewards card, but it'd be a totally useless card for me.
I have the same problem ! Everytime I get approved/credit limit raise on a card, Credit One & First Premier comes crawling out of the trenches. Credit One was so obnoxious at one point that I wrote "Flip You" on the invitation, mailed it back, & they backed off !
To put it politely...no means NO !!!!

As you stated you added some new accounts. You have hard pulls and you've reduced your AAoA. Your score may be up but it's never just about the score. Over time the inquiries will age and fall off and your AAoA will rebuild.
The offers really don't mean a whole lot anyway. Apply for what you need/want versus just repsonding to offers which are just marketing.
With similar scores, the only good offers I have been getting have been Barclaycard (at least 10-15 mailings) and Discover It (3-4 mailings).

Now, I know that's NOT what you wrote!
