Opting in?

Do I need to be opt-in to receive pre-qualified offers? I've never opt-out, does this mean I'm already opt-in? Or do I have to do it manually?.

Re: Opting in?

I'm assuming you're talking about offers received through the mail? Or do you mean offers directly from companies you deal with?

Re: Opting in?

As stated above you should be opted in unless you've opted out.  Either way it doesn't hurt to opt in via the Opt Out site.

That said, don't rely on offers and prequals.  Learn to assess your own reports and apply for products that specifically suit you.

This was actually my experience.  I know I never opted-out.  I had to go to each of my credit cards (amex, citi, visa, discover) and opt-it.  Now I get stuff every week.

I find I get better offers through the mail.  For example, the Delta Amex shows 30,000 sign up points but through the mail it was 50,000.

Re: Opting in?

I've never opt-out so should I opt-in? I never receive offers or pre-qualified, and all my scores are 720+ Fico8?. Low Utl, no lates, no collections, no Bk, no judgements.
