Options?

I'm in the process of rebuilding and have terrible scores.  Problem is no open credit cards, waiting on BofA response, mortgage never late, installments all on time now, but have 2 loans that have had some late pay that will be paid off very soon.  How else can I build?  Smiley Sad

476 with Equifax, waiting on some pre-Hippa activity before pulling other scores.  But Fako's were about 500.

Re: Options?

You might try establishing a relationship with your local credit union, and seeing if you qualify for a secured card. It reports as a normal, revolving TL, normally with a "secured" notation in the remarks spot on your CRs. This has no effect on your score aside from the positive boost of an open TL.

Re: Options?

If bofa declines they may offer the secured which i would take if they do. With your scores, i would try national city or hsbc secured becuase they seem to approve almost anyone
