They have 2 choices, "Average" Credit Application and "Excellent" Credit Application.
Average no intro and 24.9% APR
Excellent 0% for almost full year and APR as low as 9%
Now can I assume that if you apply for Average you will get the same $300 or $500 Starting Credit Line that they are famous for and you will get 1 Credit Step after 6th Satement? If you apply for Excellent will they counter Average?

Well..."average" credit line could go UP to $3,000...assuming you are on the upper end of their "average" scale. If your credit is on the lower end, I wouldn't bet on it going that high, definitely.

Nope, Cap 1 doesn't counter. Do look into excellent criteria. It is recommended that you met the criteria before apping excellent one.
Gosh, everyone hates on Cap1 so much. Haha. ![]()
But yeah, most of their cards have the 2 different options, the average, and excellent. I think the APR is probably the main difference. For people who plan on carrying a balance, the lack of an intro APR can end up making cap1 a lot of money on the average card.
I wonder if you get denied automatically if you have too many capital 1 products, I have 2 cap 1 plat and 1 sony and I got auto denied for the MTV card
What CL do you have for that Sony card? I'm tempted on either the Sony card or Playstation card.

The max Cap1 cards you can have is 2. This includes HSBC cards now too I believe. The way they make you do it, is you have to close one, wait 45 days I think, and then apply for the new one, They very rarely do PCs.

I don't think they will approve me with any card. They pulled all three. No thanks.
