I just finally got around to calling in. Long story short i got a $100 increase.
Baiscally i called the HSBC credit anaylist number and she verified my ID etc...then she asked how i got the phone number or was i transferred to her, etc...I said i found it on the internet and she seemed very confused...she mentioned i had a request showing from a secure message i sent requesting a CLI before...or soemthing liek that.
Then she did the all the mumbo jumbo legal speak about may pull a credit report, etc...i asked if it was ah ard or a soft inquriy and she just said that its a hard if there is an "alert" on my credit report...which i have no idea what that would mean but im pretty sure i dont have any alerts? Anyway, she then asked for income amount and then said my account was eligable for a $100 increase. I accepted and that was that. Reflected online in my account immediately. So they DO ask you for income, etc.
Better than nothing i guess? haha
I received an OB card in March & called in Dec (after finding MyFico) for a CLI. The CSR asked my Income. She said that they may have to pull my CR but that she will let me know first. She asked me how much I wanted I said an Increase of $300-$400 would be nice (it was $320 at the time & I was a bit naive back then) & she was able to give me a $100 increase & said that she didn't have to pull my CR. I was happy with the extra $100 especially after learning here that OB are sticklers when it comes to increases.
Yeah i mean assuming i get increases on my new Chase Freedom in the near future ill prob cancel the Orchard Bank card before the AF hits in June, but its good to get that little bit more good ratio going to help my cause in getting the limit im potentially losing, made up for on a good card that i actually want to keep.

Chase has been pretty generous with the limit increases on my Freedom - cost me a hard pull but I went from 2k to 5k in the first 4 months with them.
Yeah i was just given a $500 starting limit for whatever reason....Ive already ran nearly $1000 through the card with lots of payments, etc. in the first month. Hopefully that will trigger a CLI asap without having to ask for one?

Congrats on the increase! My experience was nothing like what you mentioned. Mine was really easy and they didnt ask me anything.

You'll probably have to ask. If you keep using it like that and call in a few months you'll probably get it.
Just called the number listed on OB website for CS. Spoke to a "Neil" and he advised that all CLI request must come by phone. He firmly assured me that the CLI would come with a SP (NOT a HP), so I said to go ahead w/ the CLI request.
Was asked only one question: Income
And given, what appears to be, a pretty standard $100 CLI.
That takes my CL from $320 to $420. I'll take it.
So in the last two days, my CL has gone from $1020 to $2220. It's progress I'll take!
What, might I ask, is the backdoor number for Orchard?
I'm happy for those who got any increases. I was declined for an increase by OB and First Premier. I've been paying on time for over 18 months and nothing. Probably cost me two hard pulls too. That's just plain sad. I can't catch a break. Year 4 of my 7 years ordeal. I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet.
