I'm happy for those who got any increases.  I was declined for an increase by OB and First Premier.  I've been paying on time for over 18 months and nothing.  Probably cost me two hard pulls too.  That's just plain sad.  I can't catch a break.  Year 4 of my 7 years ordeal.  I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet.

HSBC (Orchard Bank) and GEMB both do SP for CLI request.

Most of us don't see the light(me included), but it is there.

Don't let it bother you Steven13022, I have had an Orchard Bank card for about 9 months now and I just called to see about an increase and was denied one as well. I have a small balance now, but I make all payments on time and even make double payments when I can. My score just recently increased so I thought that I would be granted an increase, but apparently not. But then I though... in a few more months I will be able to apply for better cards as my scores continue to improve. They can have their $100 increase because I feel I am on my way to better offers with higher limits anyways.

I also did the pre-approved offer for a Orchard Bank Visa, and was told that I "qualify" for the Orchard Bank Platinum Visa but I didn't bite because I am looking at the bigger picture.

So don't feel down about it, this is a process and with patience and effort, you won't think twice about cards to rebuild, rebuilding will have been a thing of the past!Smiley Wink

Re: Orchard Bank CLI !!!

I should have stated that I've had the card for right at 2 years and this is the first time I've requested a CLI. I've never had a late pmt w/ them and I've not paid 1 penny of interest to them, as I PIF each month.

Not sure if ANY of that has any barring on their decision wether to grant CLI or not.

Re: Orchard Bank CLI !!!

P.S.

I am happy for all of those who got increases, I don't mean to sound bitter (because I was hoping for one as well). I'm just being realistic regarding my personal situation. Smiley Happy

Re: Orchard Bank CLI !!!

I asked for a CLI last October. I specifically said that if it were to be a hard pull that I DID NOT want to continue. Long story short, no CLI, and a HP on my EQ. I hate this piece of crap card and now that my scores are north of 700, it is going into the shatcan on the real quick once i lock in my AMEX and Chase cards next month.

Re: Orchard Bank CLI !!!

I know how you feel. Hubby just got a card with a higher CL than mine when I started. Kinda bummed.

For a rebuilder card, that tidbit on paying no interest probably makes them a little mad Smiley Very Happy

But it really shouldn't hinder you from an increase.
