I actually got one in May...I had contacted C1's EO, and they transferred the message to the hsbc dept. I requested and received CLI's on 2 cards with them, one a previous OB, and the other was previously Sallie Mae (and then hsbc).

They didn't give me the full requested amount, but did bump them both by $500.

Re: Orchard Bank

That's awesome. Have u known anyon to get one w/o the EO? Just haven't heard any of those being approved and definitely none with the luv button on the website....I'm glad u did! Wish I did.

Re: Orchard Bank

Mine was thru EO, the button was not on the website at that time...at least not on my account. Everyone seems to be having a tough time with them lately. I'm glad I got my request in before they started telling everyone to use the button.

I think I read on some other threads here about a few people who got the button to work for them.

And thanks. I think I just got lucky with the timing. Hopefully they'll ease up soon on the denials for CLI's...or should I say the "not available's"

I got one from 500 --> 3000 on mine in March thru the Cap1 EO...  Going to be contacting them once I get my new card about PCing it to the Quicksilver hopefully... no point using a card with no rewards when all my others offer at least 1%

Congrats on that CLI. I think that's the largest I've heard of out of them. I agree about the PC, I'm going to try the same.

+1...this is indeed true. first real CC in my name, started as a $200 secured Orchard in June 2010 Smiley Happy after some deposit bumps, when it was in the process of transferring over to Cap One, they unsecured the account, which was up to $1500 at the time. my Sapphire was already reporting for a few months back in March when i sent an e-mail to get the CL bumped...figured i'd shoot high, and it worked out!

costed me a HP, but totally worth it. not sure how many people are having luck with the OB cards now that they're transitioned over and under Cap One's domain, at least soft pull wise...may still have to take a HP from them, and not sure whether or not HSBC or Cap One actually handles the CLI process directly now.

Re: Orchard Bank

OB was the first card I obtained when trying to rebuild my credit and this was the first card I applied for. I was approved for a $300 CL and got this card last April (2012). they have NEVER increased my limit. When I called to ask for a CLI this year, they told me they were not doing increases anymore (I learn from on here b/c of the change over) and people on here suggested to try again once the change over is complete.

The change over online is done and I'm only able to access them online with Capital One now. But, I still have not received my card. All I get is mailings saying they are changing over blah blah blah...for the last 3 or so months. How long does it take to get this card?

My credit score is outstanding now and if they don't give me a CLI, I will never use them again. But, I'm scared to close the account since it is the longest standing cc that I have now (but only a year and a half now). BUT, they charged me $59 AF!!!! Plus when I applied, they told me that I had been approved for a certain APR, but when I got my card it was much higher! I have always used the card and PIF each time. I only got the card to help rebuild my credit and that's it.

If you don't use the card ever again, will they automatically close the account after a certain amount of time has passed? If they don't, should I close the account myself before next year when the AF becomes due again?

Looking for suggestions. Thanks
