Overstock CLI Question

Hey Everyone. I have both an Overstock and JCrew card that is about 3 months old now. My limit on the Overstock card is $1350. I got both cards the same day and have made several purchases on both. I tried for a CLI on the Overstock and got the 7 to 10 day message on the 24th. I went ahead today and got a $300 increase on the JCrew card. I might have been a little early on the Overstock card? After the message I went ahead anyway and made a $350 purchase  on Overstock anyway. Should I retry for a CLI since it is a few days later and I did get one on JCrew or should I just wait? As always Thanks in advance.

Re: Overstock CLI Question

On the Overstock my CLI took 6 months before it finally gave it, I was attempting at least every 31 days but I had only used the card once. DH, got his card last April and finally got a CLI September, at exactly the 5th month mark and then another 30 days later and then another 60 days later

Re: Overstock CLI Question

My CLIs on my Overstock dried up last year. I got 3 CLIs when I first opened the card last June; 1 at activation, and 1 every 31 days for 2 months. Then they just stopped and I have been denied ever since.

Re: Overstock CLI Question

Interesting to say the least. Should I wait another 30 days or try again as I might have jumped the gun before the 30 day mark or whatever it is they use? Thanks for your input also.

I would wait another 30 days, but that's just my opinion as I don't like asking too soon after a previous attempt (I'm a chicken). It's up to you though, and its possible you were only denied because you tried too soon, so if you feel up to it you can try once you're sure it's been 31 days.

Re: Overstock CLI Question

I am also a little chicken as I dont want to stir up anything in the negative. Like I had mentioned in the first post I just spent $350 on the card last Thursday. Maybe I will make a few payments on that over the next 30 and then ask again.. Thanks for everyones insight.

Re: Overstock CLI Question

I got both an OS and JCrew CLI on the same day I got the accts. On OS I got another one at 31 days, haven't hit 31 days in JCrew yet. I plan to try every statement and just see. The worst they can do is say no.

Re: Overstock CLI Question

I always wait 31 days between requests. I'm 4 for 5 over the last 6 months.  Most recent increase was $300 when they used to be $200 each time.

Re: Overstock CLI Question

I asked for an Overstock CLI a few days after not getting one (was off on my days) and got one. I've yet to see an inquiry from Overstock on any report. However, Victoria's Secret denied a CLI and an inquiry showed up on hubby's EX
