Overstock shopping cart trick not working?

I was planning on trying the trick after reading about it on here, but it makes me fill out information and pay on the same page. Did they change it to one whole page? Or am I suppose to click "confirm order"?

Clear your cookies and start over again.  You should get it before you have the opportunity to put in your own CC info.

Some brief hints about getting the SCT to work:

It will not work if you did the opt out of prescreen offers.   If you need to opt in, then do so and wait 4 or 5 days.

Try using the 'private' or 'incognito' or 'stealth' mode of your browser,  or clear the cookies and try again.

Checkout as a quest.

Add some small items to cart, I use more than 50 bucks.

Type your contact info exactly as it appears on your CRs, type slow and hesitate when you're done for at least 2 minutes.

If it doesnt work, X out of the shopping cart, wait a few minutes, and try again, maybe with a different browser.

I just tried it and it didn't pop up when I signed in. I cleared and went to check out as a guest and it let me out in the info. I was trying it for my bro who is building his credit and I got the 7-10 message. I'm guessing that's a denial.

Did you app for this?  Sounds like it.  I tried for 2 months to get it to work.  It's getting to hit it just right.  Also used guest and had about 700.00 in my cart.

I just tried it to test it out. It was all on one page, personal info, cc info, etc. As soon I entered my billing info and shipping info, I got a popup saying, congrats I was preapproved. So no, it doesn't matter that it is all on the same page.

I didn't do all the incognito, steath, etc. nonsense either.

As a side note, apparently just putting in your information without even clicking a single next button or anything signs you up for their spam list. I already received a spam email from them.

You can get a line of credit with only a soft pull.

You get a card without a HP, the caveat being it's only store cards I don't think it works for any Visa/MC type cards so it's debateable how useful some of the cards you obtain with this trick are but some people swear by it.
