So I just ended the chat with Capital One support. I wanted to see if I was going to be able to upgrade my Capital One Platinum to a Quicksilver One so I can waive the AF and get the rewards on it. When I asked them if I was eligible for an upgrade, they said both cards were eligible for the Quicksilver Visa. I didn't even think it was possible to PC a MC to a Visa Sig
Both cards about 7 months ago were at 2250 and 1000 CL. About a month ago I increased them to 3250 and 3000. I'm such an advocate of Capital One!
Besides the rewards and no AF, what is beneficial of having the Visa over the plain old MC?

I actually spoke with them last night too and told me you can't pic from mastercard to visa but will upgrade my platinum to no annual fee quicksilver but said it's still a mastercard. :/
That was my experience, too.

Last weekend I PC my platinum MC to QS MC. I called them and they said that they can not change it to Visa. And last monday, i applied for QC, and was approved for QC Visa. So now i have QS VS and QS MC.
I've tried multiple times to get my QS1 PC'ed to QS with no joy. Can't even get a CLI on the card. Screw 'em, It'll be in the shredder shortly.

Since almost everybody has been told by Cap1 that it's impossible to convert MC to VS, you probably should wait until the upgrade completes. Chances are you were misinformed and the rep you talked to made a mistake. My guess is your MC will become a QS MC like everyone else.

Cool! That was a great transition. I'm going to try to upgrade the two I have to either No AF QS Visas or MC at the end of the year.
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!

I agree with thi, spoke directly with the executive when I product changed to a regular quicksilver and he made it clear that it is not possible to change from a Mastercard to a visa
