I know this is a pretty basic thing around here, as Chase PC's don't really require anything special, but this is a HUGE deal to me so I wanted to share!
First off, I'm extremely lucky to even be in the Chase ecosystem at all, given that I burned them very recently, with a charged-off Chase card that I literally only just paid off finally in 1/2019, 5 other charged-off cards with other banks, and low-600's FICOs. So it's unbelievable that they even gave me a CSP and a CFU last year - let alone on the same day, and for respectable SLs!
Anyways, I've always wanted the CSR since day one, and it was always my plan to PC to it as soon as I could, but it took me 15 months with the CSP to finally get there. Called today, shifted some CL's around, and was approved for the CSR! I'm so dang happy to have it finally!
I know it's lost a lot of value to a lot of people this year, but I still absolutely will get my money's worth out of it. I've already got almost 200k UR points, so the extra 25% redemption value is huge, and with the $300 travel credit, those things alone pay for the new higher annual fee for me. Also, even with covid, I still travel internationally quite a lot for work, so even with my CFU now working just as well, or better, while inside the US for travel and dining, the CSR 3% with no FTF is still a big deal while traveling outside the US.
With the new changes announced for the Freedom cards, I'm very curious to see what stuff changes for the CSR in the coming weeks(if anything), but I wanted to get in before that just in case things change and it becomes harder or impossible to do the PC later.
congrats on moving up to the reserve!
enjoy the perks!
my goal is to get there myself.

The one I'm having trouble getting is the one you've got, we should work out some sort of trade
I've been waiting for my Freedom invite for like 2 years... nothing but crickets so far, and I'm not brave enough to kick the hornet's nest and cold app for it
Congratulations on your PC..
Congratulations on your new card!!
One item of note....Chase annouced earlier this year that the $300 travel credit could be used for ordinary things like groceries and eating out to help repay for the loss in travel. I used mine up within like 3 weeks and I'm not sure if that program is still ongoing and if you're eligible..try looking into that if you need.

Ha! .. Don't cold app. if over 5/24.
I finally just gave in and PC'd my CFU to CF as I really needed the CF a lot more.
I have so many 2% and 1.5% cards, and now AOD 3%.
I won't be under 5/24 for a looooooong time.
Was very fortunate last year ..to pick up the Marriott card while LOL/24
(Thanks to CreditCuriosity's Post)

Thanks, it does say that on my account as well, looks like they're doing that thru 12/31 of this year. I think it said groceries and gas stations. Should be really quick to get that travel credit!

I'm 4/24 right now, and that's not by accident Been keeping that last slot open specifically for Freedom, in case Chase ever comes around.
I don't want to PC my CFU, because (now especially with my new CSR) the 1.5% really translates to 2.25%, which is better than any other card I have for everyday spending.
Whoohooo CSR! Congrats on the PC and I looks like you are back under 5/24!
