Re: PC from Platinum to VentureOne! :)

A bit late to the party, but congrats on the PC!

Is there any reason why CapOne would deny a PC? For the life of me, I've never been able to upgrade my Platinum. I've had the card for over 15 years, and it's always been in good standing. I've got a credit limit over $10K, and yet every time I ask if I can upgrade my account, they tell me there's no offers for my account. It's so frustrating to see everyone else get an upgrade with relative ease!

@Anonymous my oldest and first Capital One card I have hit a year about a month ago. I started @ $500 --> $1500 --> $2000 --> $3000

I called yesterday to see if there were any available APR reductions and/or PC available. They said no to the APR reduction (capital one never budges on this for me) but agreed to upgrade my platinum card to the VentureOne card. Granted I miss out on the 20,000 bonus miles, but whatever, it's an an ugprade and my 'first' mileage card. I called Barclays for any promotions and denied Barclays Arrival+ ugprade last week. I don't know why I went with the Venture, but I figured why not..

Hopefully with the aging of my accounts and no INQ in the last 8 months, I will be in line for the real Venture card next year with a decent SL, maybe... Smiley Happy

Congrats! Anyone know any basic metrics for Platinum to Venture PC? My Platinum just hit a year and $2,500...but it is my oldest account.

Congrats! I've heard of combining Platinum with Venture but not PC. Nicely done!

I believe you need at least a $3000 line for the VentureOne, Venture requires $5k.
