PC to Flagship

I got my NFCU More Rewards on Jan 20, 2024  with the goal to PC to the Flagship.

Last month, I called about a PC- Agent reaffirmed that you have to wait a year.

Yesterday, I was able to PC via Chat.

Looking forward to annual Amazon Prime fee reimbursement.  This should
net me $90 after the AF.

Nice, @NoMoreE46Smiley Happy  But didn't you think a new app for FSR was worth it for the juicy SUB?  That's the best SUB NFCU typically offers, currently worth 35K points or $350.

Either way, enjoy your new card!

Re: PC to Flagship

Yeah, the Welcome Bonus is stellar like A_H said.  Mine is actually $400!  I am very close to getting my $400 after $3500 spend.  Smiley Happy

Plus, I want more people to keep the More Rewards so they can report whether they get a second free year of Walmart+ or not!  lol

Ha, I made a phone call for the same purpose just a few hours ago myself! Smiley Very Happy

I'm waiting for my message/notification that the APR will increase, and the rep said once I respond to that in the affirmative the change should be complete in 2-3 days.  (I don't know why she couldn't just confirm the new rate with me on the phone while we were doing everything else, but as long as it works I don't care.)

I'm hopeful the Amazon Prime reimbursement will work for me as well!  (At least for a year, hopefully longer.)  My Prime renews next month so I don't have long to wait.

Thanks but I have reached my max jugglage of cards despite FSR and juicy SUB.

So far,  I have closed my BankAmericard ($18k) and Elan affiliated business card ($10k).

My Penfed ($15k) and Target Circle

($13k)  cards are also slated for closure.

Good point about the WMT + @ptatohed.   However, I wasnt willing to gamble on this.

(I have an offer locked in from my

Amex Gold that pays back $49 of the $98 fee.)

So the PC process seems to be faster via Chat.

PS, my card logo updated the next morning to the FS.

My Prime fee hits in May.

Re: PC to Flagship

Ya did the same thing PC'ed my platinum and closed cash rewards to flagship a year ago for prime membership to be paid and come out ahead was at 80k between my other two cards wit h them now making my way back to it one more CLI and be at 80k as didn't bother to ask them to move limits and just took the 50k limit from platinum and build it up from there at 74k atm.  Hoping they eventually do a bit of refresh on the card as other no af card is 2% although still as you mentioned coming out on top with Prime.  Make sure you set it as you default for Prime membership.  When I did it a year ago was a quick phone call and told me APR on phone whatever the lowest is for card at time and believe showed up new image next day if not mistaken and got card obviously in mail a week later or something

I considered the bonus as well, but I'd have to close an existing NFCU card (I already have three) before I could apply out-right for the Flagship.  That's not really an issue in itself, but the accounts I'd consider closing are older (my newest NFCU card is carrying a BT at the moment) and I'd rather just hang on to them at this point.

There's also the matter of the spend requirement... last month it would have been doable, but this being post-holidays I'm in austerity mode (LOL) so hitting the $3500 spend in 90 days would be tricky.

I earned two bonuses from NFCU (GoRewards and Cash Rewards) so I'm not mad about missing out on the bonus for the Flagship.  In any case, if the credit for Amazon works out I'll still feel like I came out ahead.

It looks like that's definitely the case.  For what it's worth my rep was extremely pleasant, so no complaints there.

I had heard about the back-and-forth via chat, so I figured by calling they'd be able to ask me all the pertinent questions at once and just be done with it, but I was mistaken. Smiley Frustrated

I just replied back to the chat message a little bit ago (I think I did it right, we'll see I guess).  It's weird, I didn't get an email that I had a message... I just checked, and it was there.  Had I not been expecting it, I never would have known.  I guess I need to check my settings.

Hopefully mine will be updated overnight as well.  (There's really no urgency for me, but I just want to see it finished.)  My Prime fee hits on 2/24 so I'll have another data point for us in a few weeks. Smiley Happy
