PNC Secured card.

Hello, I currently am on my first statement cut date on my new PNC secured card. My payment date was 5/6 which I paid the card however there has been no update on experian.com, No score changes or credit alerts. My question is when does PNC typically report, when is it safe to use my CC again? My scores are below in my signature currently I just have the PNC card, i am hoping to get a 500 dollar discover card soon also secured both cards would be 500 dollars secured.

Re: PNC Secured card.

I believe PNC reports like most cards, which would be the statement balance on or soon after the statement date. Three days is a little soon to expect the computers involved to finish communicating with each other. The card has to report, the bureau has to record it, and your monitoring service has to notice the change and alert you. Five to seven days after the statement closes is a typical time frame to expect the information to show up. I wouldn't be concerned until about 10 days have passed.

Re: PNC Secured card.

Absoluteley, My only issue is I bank with Ally bank which is an online banker and i lost my card this weekend im still waiting on my new card in the mail. With that being said I dont really have any other payment method lol, I did confirm with them statement cut is this friday i just got off the phone. Would it be safe to use the card this Saturday if I have not received my ally card?

Re: PNC Secured card.

You can use your PNC card at any time honestly. If PNC has confirmed that your next closing date is this Friday then you should be fine to use it on Saturday... that's if you're trying to avoid any charges posting until the following statement cycle.

I'm not seeing where the issue might be if you use it now since you don't have another payment card at the moment.
