Passing the 1 year mark, next steps

After years of passing on CC's due to miseducation, last year I jumped in and apped for a chase FU and was instantly approved for a tiny 500 cl. Currently 14 months old

After a couple months, I called in and asked for and received another 500 on the cl

Apped the amex bce 9-10 months ago and currently have 6k

In December I apped for the chase Amazon and the first denied me, but after calling in the gave me a tiny 500 cl

Income is 80k, chase holds quite a bit of cash for me, and no derogatory marks or other issues. Always pif and never carry over 8% util. My score has actually dropped since last year, probably due to opening 3 cards and having a short history. Currently sitting at 730

I'd like to continue to build my credit and looking forward to looking at the CSP or even the CSR. I like to travel

I get pre-approvals left and right from amex, Citi, discover, capital one, etc, but I'm not interested in most of those cards

Recommendations on how long I should sit tight and garden?

Is it worth it to ask chase for clis? Or go for a CSP?

I don't think HPs are worth a CLI unless they significantly raise your CL.  Personally, I wouldn't have the majority of my cards with only one lender. I consider this risky. A CSP requires a $5K minimum CL, and right now your Amex is your largest limit. Chase doesn't like to be your first BFF with a large credit line. I would let the Anex age to at least a year - so it shows you can manage your limits - and see if you have a pre-approval for the CSP.

Re: Passing the 1 year mark, next steps

Thanks for your thoughts

Sounds like I should sit tight at least until I hit one year with amex. I can probably do a cli with the amex in the meantime.

I like the CSP but frankly, the Amazon chase does 2% on restaurants, no foreign transaction fees, and 5% at Whole Foods and Amazon. The major advantage of the CSP is UR points instead of cashback and the insurance benefits. Very underrated card
