Patel Pending app.

Hi all , new  to the  forums.   Had a quick  question.  Reading about   the success that people were having with  Patel ,  I decide  to  try. Filled app and came back pending. Called  CSR  and  she tells me the cc  for  3k is approved pending  I fax  some  over some info.  Fine  , I can do that  till she asked for  proof  of payment for old  AFNI   collection acct.  The acct is not paid and eventhough its older that 7 yrs  old its  still there. Waiting  for it to fall off.  Didnt want to tell CSR  this .    How  the heck  do  I handle  this???    Any feedback  would be great.

Well - if it isn't paid - as a potential creditor that's something they'd definitely have a legitimate interest in knowing about.

Best you'll probably be able to do is just tell the truth and explain if there were any mitigating circumstances. If it's a small account and your history's been clean since then they may be willing to overlook it if you're forthright about it.

Not  knowing what to do I  opened chking acct  and called  Patelco  csr back . Was honest and asked  if there was a time limit as   to faxing  info back . I was transferred to loan agent and asked about  time limit  as I did not know how long it was going take to research/ dispute  AFNI  item .  Really nice lady  suggested to  she d  resubmit loan to see if possible to  overlook  Afni item . approved. Faxing info  over and looking forward to new  3k cc!  My highest card b4  was WAMU  for 1500 . 3k  might not  be 15k  but its better than what id allowed my card limits to be  b4 which was  300-500. All  this info in the forums is priceless.   Looking to  use card to establish better credit.
