Patelco questions?

Looking for some info..are they BK friendly? I have read conflicting reports about that. Also which credit reports do they pull? Thanks for the input.

Re: Patelco questions?

Strictly an EX puller. Somewhat BK friendly but don't have too much available credit or too many new accounts. Penfed Jr.

Re: Patelco questions?

www.whogavemecredit.com lists these comments recently about Patelco:

- Have became Chp 13 Bankruptcy unfriendly. Don't attempt with a BK at all.
- No more approvals with a BK. Must be 7 yrs Post BK to be approved for a 300 dollar limit.
- DENIED BECAUSE OF BK IN 05. PULLED EX

Hope that helps.

Re: Patelco questions?

That's not true and like every in credit YMMV. I applied early May for a card. I was denied for too much available credit and too many new accounts. No mention was made of the BK from 2000.

Re: Patelco questions?

Thanks for the input. They denied me, but I will be giving them a reconn phone call shortly. It may have to do with my Chapter 13 BK, but I have two unsecured cc, a new auto loan, and a recently opened trade line with Kay/Jared for $2000. I maybe too new in the rebuilding game for them, but I will find out.

Re: Patelco questions?

They are BK friendly in the sense they will issue credit products with those with prior difficulties. You better have strong EX and the ability to prove income, if requested. They were my first CU and lowest APR of 8.99%.

Re: Patelco questions?

My EX score did not stand up to their test I suppose. Do you have any idea what kind of score they might approve? Based on what is posted here they seem to be a good card o have in the mix.

Re: Patelco questions?

They don't like to see unpaid CO's or CA's on your report. They will require you to have them paid before they will approve.

Re: Patelco questions?

I think I got my card with a 640 EX but that was at the beginning of the year. They don't do auto CLI's and it's a hard pull everytime you call and ask for an increase.
