Pay Pal approval and question

I was completing an order, when I received the offer to apply for Pay Pal credit, which I did. I was approved for $550.

My question is are they Synchrony or Comenity bank? I have several Comenity cards already, and I want a foot in the door at Synchrony.

I've seen posts on this board that mentions both banks, although the recent posts seem to point to Synchrony.

PayPal Credit (f/k/a BillMeLater) is currently issued by Comenity.

However, toward the later part of 2018, it will be part of the Synchrony family of private label accounts.

Synchrony currently offers the eBay Extras MC, PayPal Extras and PayPal 2% Cashback MC products.

Ok thank you.  I kept looking around and saw that it's the Pay Pal Mastercard that is issued by Synchrony.  I'm glad to hear that the Bill Me Later card will be moving to Synchrony, this year.
