PayPal Credit Pre-approval

[NP27]

I received a PayPal credit pre-approval for 2K the other day in the mail.  I didn't know this is Comenity backed.  Anyway.  Is this a hidden tradeline?  I thought I remeber seeing that somewhere before.

Congrats! ...but PayPal credit is Synchrony/GE not Comenity, ...and NO it is not hidden, only Bill Me Later is.

Umm, PayPal Credit is hidden.  Bill Me Later no longer exists and was renamed PayPal credit.

^ Yes, and PayPal Credit is backed by Comenity. PayPal Smart Connect is Synchrony.

To get the right info. can you post a pic of what you received?  The reason I asked is that Paypal credit by Comenity that is hidden does not send pre-approvals via mail while the one for Synchrony does.  And those with Synchrony reports to the credit bureau.

If you look closely on the mailer that came through the mail, it will tell you what company is issuing the card if approved.

Yes they do and they have been doing it for awhile as that's exactly how I got mine.  Did you sign up for it?  The hidden trade line is great and LOTS of places accept PayPal Credit as payment.
