I was surprised to get one today!  I had moved an Amex account from a combined login to a separate one, and apparently that lost the paperless selection (while retaining all payment accounts etc)

Only one I still get is from NASA.  They apparently like to waste paper.

I have never seens a NASA one...weird.

Not sure what that has to do with anything.  I get paper statements on every account.  But I never mail a payment back; I have everything set up to automatically pull the statement balance on the due date from my primary checking account.  If I decide to prepay before the statement cuts, then I push from my Discover checking.

Chris.

Hard to remit the payment coupon if you don't get a paper copy. If you go online to print the statement for the slip, might as well just use bill pay.

Strange, I'll have to check my account and see if I missed electronic statements.

Re: Paying CC's by mail?

The real question here is why anyone would do this?

Stamp costs 45c or whatever. Your check can get lost. Your payment isn't applied until received, etc, etc.

What's wrong with paying online where it costs you nothing and is applied same day?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: Paying CC's by mail?

You know. Some people are afraid of the Internet. And afraid of change. So if that's how you've always paid. So why change. Many people. Older generations paid for years via mail and were never late. As they paid soon as they received statement via check. So I think op will be fine. However. Sometimes change is good. It kills any chance of me being late on a payment. No looking back. So yes. Why would I risk my credit profile that I worked so hard to build.

Easiest way is to either have a CC pull your Checking/Saving info or push it by bill-pay type service...Checks through mail are so 90's.. Yes there are people that still pay that way though, just leaves more room for error imo.

Not that you asked, I just put my Account/Routing info in the credit card companies website and let them pull gets taken out that night and available next day..

This is by far the easiest way to pay all of your bills.  I don't trust the mail.  I have them all set to the minimal autopay just in case. Smiley Wink

Re: Paying CC's by mail?

I suppose some individuals do not trust electronic remittance or doing things online? Maybe the OP is still trying to keep the USPS afloat Smiley Wink It still surprises me when I see a variety of people (of any age) still using paper checks at the stores where Debit, major CCs or cash are accepted.
