I pay my car insurance on my Amex card. I pay the entire 6 month premium at once though but no it's fine to use a CC. I'm putting it on my Chase Marriott this time to go towards the spending requirement.

I believe it's Barclays Rewards MC that actually has a category for utilities (2%).  I think Auto Insurance is considered a utility.
