No, just being cautious with themlol. Since I'm just starting out with them.
I had a Fraud Alert put on my account when I made three payments within a 72 hour period with Amex. They wouldn't let me make another payment until after the statement cut a couple of weeks later.I rest my case. Lol. Was that a new account?
+1 to question. If it was a new account, especially if you were new to Amex as a whole, they might have thought you were trying to "bust out"
I would think that if I was going to "bust out" I wouldn't be neurotic about making payments. I'd be charging stuff and not making any payments except the mins once a month.
I dunno. Maybe I've got it all wrong. I've never busted out. Never intend to, either, but I do appreciate this inside knowledge. So to bust out I pay my balance as soon as charges hit, and then... Help me out with the next step so I know for next time! (i.e. where I do I start making money if I have to pay??)

If you want to potentially be sued for fraud go ahead...
It might be against TOS to discuss it in public, but I'll PM you the details, really is interesting how creative fraudsters get.
They thought a payment was fraud? Strange. I have made multiple payments per cycle nothing has ever happened. In fact they post very quick. If amex was to fr me for multiple payments that's the day I would close. "Wouldn't want to but "I ain't got time for that."

That shows irresponsibility imho. Why is the question.

"Average size of payment" is a metric Amex uses when doing internal risk scores on you

Any truth to getting AA for paying a card too quickly ?
Not that I'm aware of.

I've read of people and their scare tactics about getting AA for paying "too soon".
People tend to fear the unknown and many don't understand what sort of things lead to AA or FR, etc. Be careful relying on what you read just on face value. There's a lot of misinformation out there on the internet. I wouldnt' recommend even taking what I say myself witthout the usual validation, corroboration, etc.

Any truth to getting AA for paying a card too quickly ? I just got my Ritz card (CHASE) and the $395 AF hit yesterday. I want to pay it off and begin charging -- it shows my balance $395 and CL $5,000. Will I be ok paying this off today? I've read of people and their scare tactics about getting AA for paying "too soon".
Thoughts ?
I wouldn't worry about it.
I would think that a cedit card company would actually think someone making multiple payments is a lower risk, as they have the money to immediatley pay the balance.
I have made dozens of payments on multiple cards for years without any issue.
I got my Ritz card December 27th, I've already made 3 $700 payments on it..

Not adverse action, but I have been denied a card (can't remember who it was...) for paying off my balances too quickly. I believe the wording was something along the lines of, "decrease in balances too sudden."
Easily one of the stupidest reasons I've been denied credit.
