Paying with NFC Phones ?

Recently got a new phone LG Nexus 4 and used with Google Wallet at my local 7-11 using Freedom and shows up as GOOGNFC*7-ELEVEN.

My question is will Chase know it's a gas station and credit me 5% for this quarter ?

Nope, you will get the minumum for all those purchases. That's why I don't use Google Wallet.

What's in your wallet?
-Not Capital One.

*Purchases made using Near Field Communication (NFC), virtual wallets, or similar technology may not be eligible.*

This is from Discover's site regarding their 5% Cashback Bonus. I would assume it's probably the same across the board, but, of course, YMMV.
