Paypal Mastercard User Interface revamp

At long last. It's only been 1000 years Smiley Happy

Pencil it in. Change on September 20th (cards will still work). Autopays will be removed and you will need to re-establish. No more fako scores, much of the sync functionality is being removed. Can't close account online anymore Smiley Happy.  Card will be fully managed in the Paypal app.

Are there any improvements happening because of the system upgrade?

Yes. This upgrade is designed to enhance your PayPal Cashback Mastercard® and PayPal Cashback World Mastercard® experience by making your account management seamless.

Account improvements:

  • You'll be able to manage your PayPal Cashback Mastercard account preferences right from the PayPal app.
  • You'll be able to log in to your PayPal Cashback Mastercard account directly through PayPal — you will no longer be redirected to Synchrony Bank.

Payments and rewards improvements:

  • When making a payment using your PayPal balance, your balance will immediately reflect the outgoing payment amount.
  • You can see your cash back rewards grow in real time.

Is it really so hard for them to switch over the autopay? Maybe it's a legal issue

Re: Paypal Mastercard User Interface revamp

The new PayPal Mastercard interface is here. Right inside the Paypal app. You are able to freeze and unfreeze the physical card right inside the app but I don't see where you can request a CLI! I would hate to have to speak to a human to explain why I need one every 6 months when I don't spend much on it...Smiley Happy

To reestablish, it was much easier than I feared, because the FI I wanted was already in the option menu presented.  I am guessing that's because it's has previously been added to Paypal rather than remembered somehow from the Sync interface.

Don't remember the previous options but I was only offered "on due date" which is what I use anyway

Re: Paypal Mastercard User Interface revamp

The website says they offer email notifications for transactions. It worked one time and hasn't worked since for me. If I don't use PayPal to make the transaction, there's no notification. Not really a huge deal to me but it may matter to someone else.

I only checked the mobile app and didn't see it. Unable to check the desktop site currently. Maybe it's hidden there.

So now that the updates have been done... mine looks the same? I don't see any differences
