Pen Fed Payment difficulty

Hi all,

I'm trying to pay my Pen Fed CC with my husbands checking account and I'm having difficulties.  I keep getting the msg that the 9 digits are incorrect, however the account has 10 digits and the routing which is 9 digits is completely correct.  I tried to call them, but it's perpetually busy, so I thought I'd pop on here and see if anyone else has had this happen to them and if so I'm hoping there is an easy solution?  I sent them a message online, my payment isn't due until the 13th so I have plenty of time.

Re: Pen Fed Payment difficulty

The best way to pay your PenFed credit card from an outside bank is to set up an ACH transfer link from your outside checking account to your PenFed checking account.  Once the ACH is approved, transfer the funds from your outside bank to your PenFed checking account and then pay the credit card from the PenFed checking account.  Yes, it's a two-step process, but it works.

Re: Pen Fed Payment difficulty

Not with PenFed but had the same problem.

My CU checking has 10 digits however the 1st is a zero and the program worked with the last 9 ?

I would call or message, to be sure.
