PenFed Balance transfer question

I have a balance transfer offer with PenFed. I have an existing balance on the card, and want to initiate a BT. Is there any stipulations on doing a BT with a previous balance?

Your BT balance will run on the promotion. While your existing balance will charge the normal interest rate.

When initiating a BT. I normally clear the CC of any transactions or previous balance, in order not to confuse the balances. Unless that balance is under a different BT promotion.

Good advice.  Better not to mix a balance transfer with a previous balance.  Also better not to use the card for purchases until the balance transfer is paid off.
