For PenFed, it’s quirky. Go to the credit card pages and go through the process of applying for the card you already have and you’ll see that there’s a link to request an increase.
wut
The last time I asked for a CLI was before the site redesign. Looks like they've made it slightly less cumbersome. Click Applications, then there is a link next to the card(s) you have. Interestingly, I can no longer find a place to apply for a CLI on my PenFed Defender, which is apparently no longer available, or at least not publicly.
For BOA, here's an older screenshot but it still looks the same:
As for the HP, Bank of America is almost always a HP on TransUnion unless they have pulled your credit report in the past 30 days for another reason. For PenFed, it is almost always a HP on Equifax unless they have pulled your credit report in the past 90 days for another reason (however, there have been reports lately that PenFed may no longer be using the same pull for 90 days as they have in the past).
Since you're kinda already answering questions on this do you know the maximum limit on the PenFed cards. I'd imagine the limit on the Promise is probably lesser than on the PowerRewards and wondering if I should just app for another PenFed card while they still have the HP on file.

Maximum limit on a PenFed card is $50K and you can get $50K on the Promise card. I know because I do. Also $50K is the max that they’ll extend for credit card accounts whether it’s on one card or a combination of several.

Thanks for the heads up. Then I think I'll hit them up later today to see how much more I can get.
Hi Irish80
i have two penfed card amount totals $46,000 with that in mind I can only get it increase to another $4,000? Right?
Also this credit lumit rule doesn’t apply on personal line of credit? I have one for $7500 and I wanted to increase it to higher amount.
But fyi, I didn’t ask for CLI with penfed rather once a year(?} they gave me choice to increase on limit on credit card.
