Not a huge fan of the Access America Checking Account.
It looks great on the surface until you realize you still have to use a transaction ledger because your balance isn't updated immediately when you make a purchase. This is highly annoying and completely unexpected from any checking account.
In my opinion, Penfed doesn't give enough perks to their members for the fees they charge on the checking account. At least offer $10-$20/month in ATM fee reimbursements and a functional online banking system if you're not going to offer a no-strings checking account with no monthly maintenance fee.
