So I let my PenFed statement cut this month with a $12.74 balance but the listed minimum payment on the website is $13.00.
I've already scheduled a payment for $12.74 (actually done the day before the statement was cut so it's currently pending). Does anyone know whether PenFed will think I didn't make the minimum payment even though I will have paid off my balance?
Additional info: I haven't made any other charges on the card since the $12.74 purchase.
If it were me, I would just save the hassle and pay $13 to make sure.
I would but the payment for $12.74 is already being processed.
Inquiring minds want to know how that $0.26 sorts out.

Push it?
I dunno, just seems like a lot of potential headache for $.26 to me. Even if you call someone, there's no guarantee that what they tell you is what the system will do.
There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the payment I set up. If it's a quirk of the system, then I can talk to a CSR about it if it becomes an issue. I'm not going to submit a payment twice though. I have the entire grace period to sort it out without making a double payment for no reason.
Almost the exact same thing happened to me, with nearly identical amounts, for the most recent statement with my Penfed Promise. $12.xx balance, $13.00 minimum payment. I pushed the $13.00 minimum (Promise balance is now $-0.24 or something), so I don't know what will happen with your balance payment, but like others have suggested, it wasn't worth the risk to me over $0.24.
That's odd. I just got the July statement for my PenFed Promise Visa, and the balance was $2.29. The minimum payment was also $2.29. I wonder why yours rounded up to the nearest dollar and mine did not.

I would guess because yours is under the .50 mark and theirs were over.
So as a non-update update, I just went ahead and made another small charge to the card to bring it up to positive balance. I'll pay that off once it posts and that'll be the end of that (hopefully).
