The statement credit will be applied to your account within 4 weeks after the end of the promotion period. This offer is not transferable. Limit one statement credit per cardholder. Your account must remain open, have available credit, and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify. Cash advances and balance transfers do not contribute towards the $1,000 purchase minimum. Offer ends

I didn't get that offer.
I received the same.
I received this offer for my Platinum Cash card (5% Gas), but not on my Power Cash card, which would've been more ideal. Still an interesting offer, regardless.
I received an email this morning for a $25 account credit when I used my Penfed platinum rewards card to pay bills.

I got this identical offer on my PCR.
Last month I got a $50 statement credit for $750 spend on my Platinum Rewards card.

I received this offer as well this morning, though it was on my GOLD not my PCR
I got this offer on my PCR and $50 for $500 spend on my gold which, unfortunatley, has a BT on it.

I also got $50 for $500. And have a BT running on the account.
I will likely still try the spend, and it will give me a chance to see how quickly, how often, I can pay PenFed to reduce the immediate interest on new spend 
I like a good challenge.
