Penfed question

I know there are alot of Penfed experts here so i have a quick question. Does Penfed prefer 6 months history before requesting a cli or can you request one after 1st 3 months. I am coming up on my third month probably tomorrow and was curious about this. I only have a $500 sl for my Promise card and would like to try to increase this limit before i freeze my final cr and officially head off to the garden for the next 2 years, hopefully Smiley Happy. Thanks for any input.

Re: Penfed question

If you wait longer than 90 days they will do another Hard Pull.  Many people reported success doing it before 90 days.

Re: Penfed question

Yeah thanks waverider. The things is i believe did do a cli request within the 1st 90 days but was unsuccessful so was curious to see if perhaps by them pulling a, fresh report and them having the benefit of seeing how im doing within the first 3 months my chances of a cli would be higher. Plus id i could do it now , hopefully approved of course, it would group my last couple inqs together and by july 2018, could have a totally clean slate. Thats the idea anyway Smiley Happy

Re: Penfed question

When I first got the Rewards card I asked for a CLI and it was granted.

Re: Penfed question

Yeah thanks. The thing is when i was approved i was approved for the Promise, figured probably my best shot with what is/ was my current profile. Rewards card looks awesome but i dont spend that much so not sure if ill ever get or be able to get. Reading up on how you can get multiple products with possibly only one hp for up to 90 days decided to app for personal loan. Surprisingly, approved super fast. Tried for a cli request too but was denied. From reading here tried recon , but denied as well. That made me apply the brakes.
Thats also why i wanted to see if by pulling a new report, even though i do still have my bk7 reporting til apr17 on EQ, If it would be possible for the increase. I did some newbie mistakes in my rebuild by doing some inquiries that i really shouldnt have, (learning the importance of using them more wisely from this geeat forum ) so my inqs have hit that boiling point at 20 on EX. So i figure whats one more . This is also why i want to try and garden for 2 years to be able to see how my profile looks with inqs, no bk7 and no late payments. Itll be hard but i really want to try.

Re: Penfed question

This is a ymmv thing, and I think it's mostly profile specific. Many have success getting one before the 90 days, but obvioulsy if you have some issues, or just barely got the card, it appears they like you to establish more history with them.
