Penfed vs my existing credit unions

I currently belong to Justice and Hughes.  FICO scores below...looking to add some large limit cards and a PLOC for low rate to pay off another loan. Util is 10% and still dropping.  Over 80k in available credit. Clean thick file.

Discover 19k

Cap1 QS1 6k

Venture 15k

Amex Delta 15k

Walmart MC 10k

Citi AA 6.6K

Citi DP 4k

Lowes 12k

Chase IHG 6k

BOA 3.5

Should I explore the products with my existing Credit Unions or go for the big boy and go with PenFed?  I'm a federal civillian employee, but don't qualify for NFCU.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

I would definitely go for PenFed. Just my take.

When I joined I immediately applied for the Rewards card and was approved. The next day I applied for the Promise card and was approved. Good luck!

Re: Penfed vs my existing credit unions

I have gone nuts during my rebuilding and have joined DCU, Penfed, NFCU, NASA and USAA.  We made NFCU our primary bank and have had a great experience with them. Since they are not an option for you I would consider Penfed the next best choice.  I have never read a single negative comment about them so that is a pretty good sign.

All their cards are great. Promise is low apr. Platinum Cash Rewards is 5% gas. Just see which one fits your needs. If approved for a cc, go for ploc. Hp is good for 90 days. Smiley Happy
