I also use a spreadsheet and I can proudly say in my 55 years of existence, and the last 5 years using a spreadsheet, I've never missed a payment. Stuff will happen, like recently when I accidentally let a $10.05 charge on my Lowes card report. I like to PIF before they report. Not a big deal but for some reason my EQ actually went up right after it reported!
Glad you caught it O.P.!
I don't know where you see a thread "hijack." As in life, conversations diverge off to other topics. This also happens routinely on message boards/forums. It would be a thread "hijack" if we completely ignored the OP, but that's not what happened here. I've read many of threads on here where I learned something new from a post that diverged from the OP. I suspect, others have as well.
Open, I'm right there with you!
@Open123 wrote:I can't be the only one who sets all the cards due dates to around the same time of month, right?
Mine are all within 3-4 days of each other from the 4th-7th of the month.. Makes it simple! I get paid monthly at the end of the month and pay the bills at the beginning of the month, can't get to much more simple than that.

So what happens if you do pay a CC bill one day late for the very first time? It won't show on your CR, but does the issuer give you a black mark for future CLIs and preapprovals for their other cards? Just curious if people know more about this than I do.

Fees and interest...which may or may not be occasionally waived.

Right, only past dues of 30 days or longer appear on one's CRAs. Moreover, for the first late, any Issuer will gladly waive the fee/interest charged.

I think that's an unreasonably broad and optimistic statement.
or you could simply move the column with the due date on the spreadsheet
