It is backed by FIA/Bank of America not American Express Centurion Bank
Can you tell me why you like this card so much? What does it offer? Since it's not backed my Amex, maybe I'll give it a try.
it's a simple 2% on all purchases with no caps or rotating categories!

Well that sounds like a good deal to me. Do they usually offer high CL's to start with?
I just really hate to apply for a card and then waste a pull on something really small to start out with.

I would recommend the Discover It out of the three.. just because they sent it to you doesn't mean you should get all three.(Great job staying in the garden 6 months! Your line up is good so far, and I know you'll feel great closing out that orchard bank.
Discover had SP and HP clis-- I've very much had a positive experience with Discover on CLIs, as well.
If you're going to spree, then I would recommend a better cash back card than the others like maybe Sallie Mae or Fidelity Amex.
Your scores are fantastic! Congrats!I was thinking I wanted to do the Discover It as well. I'm just trying to figure out what else I want to go for and the other places are just what seems to send me a lot in the mail. I figured I had a better chance of getting them because of that.
I'm still debating if I will be closing out the Orchard/Cap One card. It all depends on if they remove the stupid $59 a year charge. If they won't remove it, I will close it.
Tell me about the Sallie Mae and Fidelity Amex. Isn't the Sallie Mae for students? If so, I will need to get that card soon since I graduate in May. Do they let you keep it after being out of school? What are the benefits to having one of these? I hadn't even realized that Sallie Mae had a cc. I have only heard about them with a mortgage.
Is the Fidelity Amex and regular Amex? what are the benefits to getting one of those? Would they even give me another card since I already have an Amex (which they keep refusing to give me a CLI).
You don't need to be a student to get the Sallie Mae Mastercard. 5% cash back on Gas/Grocery/Bookstores capped at $250/$250/$750 per month. So its great for Amazon.com or Gas, and so-so for Groceries if you are buying for a family. But for that first $250 a month of groceries, nothing beats it.
Sallie Mae has two credit cards. the Upromise card isn't very good.

Oh. I thought I had read it was for students. When I try to look it up, I see several post about how they may not be offering it now??? Know anything about that?
When I did finally find a website it said:
Sallie Mae MasterCard®
Pay down your eligible Sallie Mae student loan with cash back from the Sallie Mae MasterCard.3
Anyone know how this works with "paying down" student loans??
Last year they weren't advertising it, so we suspected it might be going away. However, now there is a link for it from the salliemae.com web site.
I just redeem points for statement credit.
Just applied for the Discover it and was approved. It said "you're card is on it's way". But there wasn't an approval amount. It did ask me for my email address and I checked the box that said to get electronic notification of their decision, but I have not received anything (yes I checked spam). Will this tell me the amount I was approved for? It was weird that it didn't even give me a confirmation number or anything.
Now how will I tell what CU they pulled from?
Congrats! Discover is a good card. Just call, they should be able to give you the limit.
Just called....$9500 CL
Also applied for a Sallie Mae and got $10k
BOOM
