Playing around with new ARRIVAL Rewards function and..

I logged into my Arrival+ today and I noticed that they have a new added function for "FanRewards" where you can get bonus miles for doing things like connceting to Barclay on Facebook and Twitter etc.

One of the "tasks" that earns points is just reviewing the rewards redemptions page. While playing around with that function I clicked on redeem rewards for travel. I dont have any travel charges I can redeem against right now but my annual fee charge of $89 popped us a charge I could redeem against for full value, so 8900 points.

I was not aware that you could redeem points against the annual fee at full value, is that new?

Thanks for the heads up on the Fan rewards zone. Pretty easy to grab some extra points. I also noticed that you can redeem towards your annual fee in January but I have no idea if this has always been an option.

Thank you . Alot of those miles are from a time when Rewards Boost offered 4pts/$1 on Amex gift cards. I ordered alot of them over a couple of months and just used the gift cards for general spending, effectively making the Arrival a 6.2% card while it lasted.

Hope they bring back Amex gift cards again sometime

I'm a points/miles hoarder, I never redeem points and just let them build :/ And yeah you can redeem for the AF as of May 2014, when they did the update to Arrival Plus.

My goodness you guys . I hope that you'll be able to take a great vacation with friends/your SO sometime soon. Just remember that the cash value you have in these miles isn't able to be invested sitting in your accounts
