Possible wrong account number on Cap1 card!

Hey guys/gals! So I got a Cap 1 Chevrolet card some time ago when I purchased my new truck. I had never used the card it just sat in my safe. Today I go to use it, and it's declined. I go online to my account and it lists the last 4 digits as XCVB but the card has FGHJ. When I use the last 4 digits as displayed on the website it says wrong card number (Amazon purchase). But when I enter them as on the card it works but is just denied. The card is activated, has a $0 balance and available credit. Kind of at a loss for words here. I do remember when I called to activate it though it said the last 4 digits as listed on website being associated with number I was calling from but gave an option to enter card number if incorrect which I did and it went through. Anyone ever seen this before :-/

I'm going to try swiping it here shortly when I go to work to see if it works that way, just want to spend a small amount on it so it's not sitting dormant.

You can do that, but if it were me I would just give them a call. 

 

A front-line CSR should be able to see your previous declines, and will be able to tell you if there is a problem.
