I am just past my 1 year post bk7 filing date, not even 1 year since my discharge which was in March 2011. Anyways, Since filing on mainly all credit cards, a lease from honda, and a car loan with fifth third I am very pleased with where I've come so far with my score, my ability to manage credit well and so on.
My first card after my BK was credit one, started at 300.00 and today is at 800.00 with 124.00 balance
then I made the mistake of openeing a First Premier credit card 700.00 limit balance 0 and will be closing in May just before the annual fee comes up again.
Target store card 300.00 opened in November 2011 balance 0, used for some gifts and PIF...don't plan on carrying a balance on that one at all.
Firestone Complete Car Care 1,200 dollars approved last week! wow! anyways, i won't be needing it unless i have a flat or something. basically just going to sock drawer.
Car loan on a new 2012 corolla through toyota financial, 72 months @ 4.25% interest.
And today I was approved for abercombie and fitch 300.00
and Giant Eagle 300.00 ---both of which are backed by world financial network national bank or something. EIther way, I'm pretty pleased. This coming after burning every single prime bank around. Capital one, Chase, BOA, AmEx, Discover just to name a few. Currently my report shows 11 negative accounts and 41 positive. I dont know if that has anything to do with getting approved for these cards or what, but i just figured I would share that WFNNB is indeed BK friendly, not even 1 year post discharge!
I wish I could tell you what my true FICO is, I haven't paid for one in a long time. My FACO score is 657 but I think the fico would be significantly lower than that.

Congrats!!
You need to garden for quite a while, no more apping for at least a year! And try to pay back your debts to those prime banks you burned, They will not be forgiving.
Wouldn't paying back debts discharged under BK7 defeat the purpose of the filing? AmEx = doomed for life unless you pay however the others seem to blacklist for up to a decade. Some have reported success after a few years but YMMV. If you want back in with CapitalOne, get an HSBC card asap because by June 2012 they will takeover HSBC's US card portfolio. That might be the best way to achieve it

Not if you want back in with them. You have a better chance of forgiveness paying off the debt and and explaining your situation. They may not like you for a bit but eventually the door will open............It's permanently shut burning them tho.
Outside of AmEx which I believe will blacklist you forever, some people have reported success with Citi/Chase/BofA/Discover without ever paying them.

Citi has a ridiculous memory for people burning them. You must pay them off first!!
you can still get usaa
and dont forget credit unions.
i think you'll be fine eventually, get some garden gloves out and build history, regardless of current credit ilmits.
i had an orchard with $500 and best buy at $100 and those two cards got me to 700 after some serious negatives back on 2003-2009.
oh yeah, citi has the memory of a steel trout. they remember me just fine, but im not even thinking about them.
I burned my own employer (JPMorgan Chase) in my bankruptcy, I really don't plan on paying any of my bankrupt debts back, what for? I have plenty of debt that wasn't included in my bankruptcy that I'm more concerned with, mainly a barefoot hillbilly girl named SallieMae - she owns my soul!!!!! Anyways, Apparently Capital One is forgiving because they approved me for a 200.00 secured card LOL but I declined the offer. HSBC seems to be tough to get back with. Every single app I've filled out INSTANT decline, tried orchard and household bank - nothing. They send a letter stating that they didn't even pull my credit and that an internal review was done and I'm declined because of the "status of prior account". Oh well.
Oh, and I'm not sure that Kohl's is bankruptcy friendly necessarily but I didn't include them in my BK and owed them a 0 balance. They kept my card open with a 2,000.00 limit that I still use to this day over a year later. And I have noticed they did soft my credit SEVERAL times since then, so I'm guessing they're BK friendly.
Well, Kohl's is backed by Cap One, so they're probably about as BK friendly as Capital One is.
True...I'm sure it would have been closed out if it were still backed by Chase.
